Children's health is the future of the country!

During the period of preschool childhood, the foundations of health, comprehensive motor readiness and harmonious physical development are laid in the child. Therefore, the health problem should be considered from a broad social perspective.

The main focus of the Sports Carousel program is to preserve and strengthen the health of children.

Research conducted by the Research Institute of Hygiene and Children's Health, the Scientific Center for Children's Health, and the Academy of Medical Sciences show that the health status of children in Russia is beyond Lately has deteriorated sharply, and the number of healthy preschoolers is only about 10%. Therefore, preserving and strengthening the health of preschool children is one of the most pressing problems of our time.

The results of a survey conducted in the Petrovsky district in 2010 indicate a decrease in the proportion of healthy children (from 55.7% to 34.8%) with an increase in children with pathologies and disabilities.

The health of our children is significantly influenced by unfavorable social factors, environmental, climatic conditions, namely:

Heredity;

Unfavorable environmental conditions;

Electron beam and “metal sound”, irradiation of children (computer games, prolonged exposure to TV, constantly playing loud music);

Lifestyle (which has the greatest impact on health).

Deviations in the musculoskeletal system, which are the root cause of many diseases that cannot be treated with medication, have an equally serious impact on the health and development of the child.

Observing children in physical education classes and in free activities, we noticed that some children have incorrect posture, foot fatigue quickly sets in, children often get sick for a long time, which leads to the development of scoliosis and flat feet, a disruption of body functions. This is confirmed by medical diagnoses, which are recorded in the children’s medical records.

Parents do not always pay attention to such little things; it seems to them that the child is still too small to have beautiful posture and correct feet, good health. Right now, when the child is actively growing, and the leg and spine are experiencing stress, their impairment begins. Scoliosis and flat feet in children are detected even before school.

The problem of the incorrect process of formation of posture and feet, children getting ARVI, also exists in our kindergarten. To determine these disorders, an examination of the child is necessary.

Understanding the need to improve the process of preventing flat feet and poor posture, improving the health of preschool children, in order to strengthen the musculoskeletal system of preschool children, we have developed a program for the sports and health club “Sports Carousel”

This program ensures the preservation and strengthening of the physical and mental health of children.

General position

The room for the Sports Carousel club provides an equipped gym for direct educational activities. This provision was developed on the basis of the Russian Federation law on education “Concepts of preschool education”, letter of the Ministry of the Russian Federation “On hygienic requirements for the maximum load on preschool children in organized forms of education” dated March 14, 2000, and the Charter of the MBDOU.

Purpose of the program

Identification of the mechanisms and methods by which physical education can be organized in such a way that it ensures the child’s harmonious development, strengthens health and improves its level, and introduces children to physical education.

The relevance of this problem is determined by the fact that a preschool institution is faced with the task of educating physically, mentally healthy child.

Program structure

The selection of a group of children for classes in the sports and recreation club “Sports Carousel” is carried out taking into account the general functional state of children of middle and senior preschool age, medical examination data, recommendations of medical specialists (pediatrician, orthopedist, surgeon, pediatrician).

The program lasts 36 hours. Classes are conducted taking into account the prescribed curriculum.

Classes are held from October to May once a week for 30 minutes, in the afternoon, when children are not busy with the main program classes.

The structure of health-improving activities is closely woven different kinds activities: motor exercises, basic types of movement (walking, jumping, jogging, balance exercises, etc., breathing exercises, various types of self-massage, relaxation exercises.

The way children are organized during a lesson in a physical education and health group depends on the goal and objectives of each lesson. In classes, three main ways of organizing children are used: frontal, group, individual.

The methodology for compiling complexes of health-improving activities consists of three parts. The preparatory part includes general developmental and corrective exercises corresponding to poor posture and correction of flat feet. Pace of execution – slow, moderate, medium, dosage 608 repetitions. The main part includes exercises from the position of lying on your back, on your side, on your stomach, sitting and standing. The dosage of exercise depends on how you feel. All exercises must be performed in both directions. The final part consists of relaxation exercises (relaxation, outdoor games.

In order to harden the feet and prevent flat feet, strengthen the body of children during recreational activities, children exercise barefoot.

For emotional comfort during the organization and conduct of physical activity of children, musical accompaniment of physical education and recreational activities contributes.

Creating a full-fledged physical culture and health environment for work on the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders in preschool children, provides for the availability of equipment and inventory that promotes the formation of posture, strengthens the muscles of the foot and has a positive effect on the formation of the arches of the foot (ribbed and inclined boards, gymnastic wall, hoops, balls , jump ropes, gymnastic sticks, trampoline, special exercise equipment, etc.)

Thus, the emphasis in the health-improving work of the “Sports Carousel” circle program is on increasing the body’s resistance to ARVI, preventing flat feet and postural disorders in children.

Information and educational work with children

1. Initial examination of children by a kindergarten nurse and a pediatrician at a children's clinic upon admission to kindergarten.

Relationships with parents are built on the basis of a parental agreement.

The process of physical education and health-improving joint work with the family includes:

1. Familiarization of parents with the content of physical education and health work in preschool educational institutions, aimed at the physical, mental and social development of the child.

2. The results of diagnosing the child’s health status and psychomotor development are brought to the attention of each parent. Strengths and weaknesses of development are noted, ways of providing assistance in strengthening health, physical development and its further improvement are outlined. 3. Training parents in specific techniques and methods of healing (breathing exercises, self-massage, various types of hardening, etc.).

4. Familiarization of parents with treatment and preventive measures carried out in preschool educational institutions, training in certain non-traditional methods of improving the health of the child’s body.

Work to educate parents is carried out on the basis of a survey. The following groups of parents are identified:

1 group - parents have sufficient knowledge on the problems of upbringing and education, on child health issues.

Group 2 - parents who are not very interested in pedagogy, health-saving technologies, but they are concerned about the personality of their child, the problem of his development, health. They try to understand the reasons for their failures in educational and health work.

Group 3 - parents, whose interest is limited only to a specific situation - pedagogical or related to the child’s health.

In pedagogical interaction with parents, various forms of work are used to strengthen and preserve the health of children and improve their physical qualities:

Testing method for identifying flat feet

To identify flat feet in children attending preschool educational institutions, the test is carried out using a plantograph.

A plantograph is a wooden frame (2 cm high and 30*30 cm in size, on which canvas or burlap is stretched) and a plastic film on top of it. The canvas is moistened with stamp paint or ink for fountain pens; a sheet of paper is placed on the painted side, on which the child’s full name, group, and date of examination are written. The child stands with both feet in the middle of the frame (on the paper, while foot prints remain on the paper - plantogram.

Plantogram evaluation: The conclusion about the condition of the arch of the foot is divided based on the location of two lines drawn on the print. The first line connects the middle of the heel with the second interdigital space. The second line is drawn from the middle of the heel to the middle of the base thumb(see attachment).

If the contour of the foot print in the middle part does not overlap these lines, the foot is normal. If the first line runs inside the print, there is flattening of the arch of the foot. If both contours are located inside the contour of the print, the foot is flat. Children with malformed feet are referred for consultation to an orthopedist. Plantograms are stored in the child’s medical record.
