    I am 39 years old.. My weight with height 1.64 61 kg is normal or too much??

    Girls, you should definitely play sports, no matter what age you are! Anna writes that after the operation the doctors do not allow her, so - I had two abdominal operations, after the second operation there were three days of intensive care, serious problems with the cervicothoracic spine and the doctors also said that one should not strain, etc. They treated me up to the 2nd disability group..... and abandoned me. My weight was always below normal, although I never looked skinny. To make it shorter, I will say that after prolonged suffering I took up sports according to the Bubnovsky system, I have been doing it since 2012, now I am 55 years old, weight 60 kg and height 166 cm. There is no belly, no folds, cellulite and everything else is not observed)))) )) Ira said correctly, you can weigh 52 kg, but if the muscles are flabby, then the appearance will not be so great. So, Anechka, stop tormenting yourself with all sorts of diets, find Bubnovsky’s gymnastics on the Internet, start practicing and. believe me. you will want to live!)))) These are not just words, they have been tested on themselves. I couldn’t walk without help, but now I can just fly! Good luck to you all!))))) And, by the way, I never tormented myself with diets, I just stuck to it after the operation. I am for separate meals: if proteins - then only with vegetables, carbohydrates in the same way - with vegetables. Moreover, carbohydrates are consumed in the first half of the day. squirrels - second half of the day.

    Well, I lost weight from 60 to 49 (49,500). And again I almost lost my life. Now my jeans size is 25, I wear XXS-XS. My height, of course, remained the same :-) But all this would make me happy if I were on a low-carb and low-fat diet I didn’t lose my hair on the diet. In just a few days, so much hair fell out that there was almost nothing left on my head. In addition, my weight started to get closer to the 50 kg mark. Only thanks to the fact that my stomach and body no longer need normal portions of food , and I eat little, I’m still holding on to 49 kg. Personally, I don’t consider myself a skeleton, but my colleagues insist that I have a disease, since I still don’t see the real picture: that I’ve turned into a bag of bones. But I’m crazy I regret my hair. I feel very sad. An even deeper depression has developed. I no longer feel happiness from any weight loss. It would be better if I remained at my previous weight with the parameters: 85-70-92, than to lose my hair. And my hair was very beautiful, thick. Everyone went crazy with envy. Now I’m like a skinned cat, with dried out skin, falling out hair, a dull look and a complete lack of desire to live. It sounds terrible, but it’s true. I’ve lost all directions in life, strength (even just to walk) , lost her memory (literally), lost the incentive to live... And I have a daughter. I need to live and work for her. I need to stand in the yard for hours after work and on weekends and look after her, I need to do homework with her, I need to meet her in the evenings at school, I have to carry bags from the shops, I have to cook for her... All this has become simply unbearable. And before I even happily ran and walked with her, and did my homework with pleasure, and was in perfect control of everything. Now I just forget everything .I’m already ashamed in front of people. They look at me strangely. And where will I get the means to live if I don’t work. And I’m on sick leave again. The doctor said that I have real anorexia and that my hair won’t stop falling out (although much more), until I start eating animal fats and more of them. I just dried up. It turns out that as much as I lost with such inhuman efforts, I won’t gain that much again. After all, I didn’t starve myself, but gave up fats and carbohydrates, which , in fact, this is what you should do if you want to lose weight. I’ll be chubby again with thick cheeks, but without hair. And why do I need all this... Now my colleagues are only gloating: “Well, you’ve lost weight, and now you’ll spend a lot of money on recovery...” I’ve already spent a lot of money on vitamins and medications. I did some very effective mask, and it seems to have gotten better. But still, I’m also sad about the extreme stress that I’ve been experiencing in recent months. In general, my whole life is one big stress, however, age is age, and with age I began to find it difficult to endure everything that was previously perceived and overcome much easier. So it all started before the new year. Day by day I felt better. It’s getting worse and worse. I stopped sleeping, lost my appetite, stopped loving myself. New Year holidays this only got worse. And after the holiday, I was already in severe depression and I was aware that sooner or later something bad would happen to me. It seemed to me that either I would get seriously ill, or I would end up in trouble due to absent-mindedness and immersion in sadness under the car. So I got so sick that I was barely alive. My colleagues didn’t understand what suddenly happened to me, why I changed so radically and from a cheerful, cheerful girl turned into such a grief-stricken person. Everything is so. And now and hair... It takes at least 5 years for it to recover. And this is with a balanced diet and complete peace. And I can only dream of peace. At home, my relatives tyrannize me so much that I myself am surprised how I even lived to be 32. If only my family had been my outlet and Oprah, it would be easier for me to bear all the problems at work. But it turns out that I’ve been alone all my life and for myself. The failure of all life systems was simply inevitable. No one can stand this. No one!

    My height is 1.67 and I weigh 52 kg. My sides and stomach are bulging out due to fat

    I am no taller than 160 cm, 32 years old, a woman who has given birth; the work is very monotonous, office. In 6 years I have gained almost 60 kg. Normosthenic physique. Narrow shoulders and generally narrow, but, alas, not thin. In general, I have too much fat, although my waist I’ve always been (my mother’s eastern Genes). I’m like Anastasia Zavorotnyuk. I fit in normally at 44, but that’s not an indicator of anything, because there’s so much fat... And it’s everywhere. And my legs are full in the thighs. I bought trousers 38, and sometimes on the thighs passed with difficulty. And although all the neighbors continued to call me miniature and thin, it was disgusting to look at myself in the mirror. Moreover, all this is fat, and not just wide bone, covered with a thin layer of skin. My aunt is about 181 cm exactly like that. Everyone keeps saying, skeletal, painful, but I like it that way. More so than when she was at her normal weight, but for some reason she looks like a rock (especially compared to my family, where everyone is small and narrow-boned). Never very little I weighed that much, but also that much. I don’t have the opportunity to play sports and I don’t want to. And I missed a couple of weeks, everything will float again and it will even get worse. And I’m dead. I can’t run and strain myself (after operations). This is not an option. I always saw the solution in losing weight. Once I lost weight to 42-44 and almost died. I lost weight by fasting. With my narrow constitution, I became a non-existent size, I looked like a cancer patient or a first-grader, people whispered unkindly behind my back. But I also liked 45. Best weight , as I noticed, for almost everyone - 50. And tall, and short, and small ones look normal in it. Neither proper nutrition nor restriction helped one gram. At the same time, there didn’t seem to be any gastromonal deviation. But the thought that at 32 I weigh 60, and how much I’ll become at 35-40 made me feel terrible. Then I got very sick, 7 days I didn’t eat or drink and lost 6 kg. Now I weigh 52-53, nothing lower. It’s worth eating at least a piece of something, plus 1 kg, drinking a little more water, plus 1 kg. I have to almost starve. But everyone appreciated it and say, I’m already emaciated. All the clothes 44 are simply huge. Now I wear 40-42 and I myself understand that, of course, this is better. And my cheeks have become much smaller (and they are very large in themselves). 48-50 will be great! But not I can. So it’s all about the constitution and the fat layer. My colleague doesn’t scratch much, she’s trying to lose weight, but her figure is an inverted triangle. The top is huge, the bottom is wide, but flattened, the legs stick out from the big body and hands even thin. I think her legs won’t be any thinner, but I’m losing weight from head to toe in proportion. Even my hands and the girth of my head, feet. All the gloves and balls are big. All 36 are wide - my legs fly out. I don’t advise anyone to lose weight like that. Just sharing my story.

    I old man, I’m over 60, I now weigh 58, height 150. 7 years ago I weighed 75 kg, got sick and spent 4 months in the hospital, where I lost weight to 48 kg and looked like a skeleton covered in skin, although by all calculations I was normal weight. So everything is individual. Now I want to lose 3 kg, but no more.

    I’m over 50, I weighed 75, after a long illness I lost weight to 48, my height is 150 now (it was higher in my youth). So, despite my supposed “normal” weight, I looked like a skeleton covered in skin. Now, after 6 years, I weigh 58 kg, I look normal, however, I want to lose 3 kg, I will be even more normal, but not more, so as not to turn into a skeleton again. So everything is individual.

    KICK! Has everyone gone crazy?

    with a height of 166, you can weigh 66 kg if you do sports and there is nothing hanging. You can weigh 56 kg without sports, both sides and stomach will be. You say she lost weight to 52 and is still not slender, which means she was losing mostly muscle, not fat.

    This is some nonsense. With a height of 166, normal weight is from 52 to 66? My friend weighed 56, and there were folds of fat on her back, thick sides and folds under her breasts, and at the same time her stomach was hanging. So is this normal for height 166? She has now lost weight to 52 and still doesn’t look like a slender birch.

What should be the weight for a height of 156 cm?

    For a woman with a height of 156 cm, the normal weight will be from 46 kg and slightly higher, for a man from 56 kg. But you need to remember that everything is individual. The main thing is that you feel comfortable in your weight category.

    The normal weight for such a height would be 46 kilograms, it also depends on the girl’s age. There should not be less than 40 kilograms, as this can lead to serious disorders in the body and also lead to amenorrhea.

    If you mean what normal weight should be (or, more correctly, normal body weight), then I will tell you. I will answer you that normal body weight with a height of 1 m 56 cm should be in the range of 45.0-60.8 kg.

    The calculation must be carried out based on the formula for determining body mass index. How to do this is described in detail

    If you are normosthenic, then your ideal weight is calculated using the formula - HEIGHT - 105. That is, in your case it turns out - 156-105 = 51 kg

    If you are asthenic = that is, you have very thin bones and very small breasts, then you need to subtract 10% from the result obtained - that is, the result will be -

    51-10%*50 = 46 kg

    If you are hypersthenic - that is, you have wide bones and a wide chest, then on the contrary you need to add 10% to the result obtained.

    51+10%*50=56 kg

    We can conditionally accept that there are three body constitutions: thin, medium and wide (I state them in my own words). For the first formula: height in cm - 110. Second: height - 100. Third: height - 90. See for yourself.

    Weight should be within the normal body mass index (your weight in kg divided by the square of your height in m, normally it will be from 18 to 25). How much exactly is individual. You cannot use one categorical number, for example 50, as the only correct option, regardless of body type. Personally, with this height, I weigh 55 kg and I am completely satisfied.

    With an average height of 156 cm, normal weight for men is considered to be between 46 and 56 kg. Where 46 is thin, 56 is strong, this is subject to normal health, natural physique, without pumped up muscle mass. Further weight is considered overweight. For women the range is slightly different. With the same 156 cm - considered from 41 kg to 46 kg - thin, slender, 46 - 51 strong. Next - superfluous.

    ideally this is considered 56 kg with some exceptions

Normal weight person– this is a concept that cannot be precise. Its criteria include not only weight and height, but also a person’s physique and even age. Many men and women experience problems with being overweight or underweight. In this article I would like to tell you how to calculate your weight and what, in general, is the norm.

There are many ways to help calculate weight by height and age. But it should be remembered that such schemes may not be entirely perfect, since the weight ratio can be affected by other factors that are often not taken into account.

Since ancient times, many people have trusted Broca's method.

A person's height is taken in centimeters, then 100 is subtracted from this.

But after some time, the performance of this method changed slightly. This formula is best used to calculate weight by height for females between the ages of 40 and 50. You can read how heart rate changes with age here.

Women under 30 years of age need to have a body weight that is 10% less than this result.

To calculate weight based on height and age, it is considered more accurate Quetelet's method. This formula calculates the ratio of fat and bone and muscle tissue as a percentage. It allows you to determine whether a person is overweight or underweight. Usually we use this method of calculation for people from 20 to 60 years old.

For men, 10-15% fat of total body weight is considered normal, for women only 12%.

How is it calculated: body weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared.

Should not be used This calculation method is for pregnant women, women during lactation, adolescents and people involved in sports.

There is a formula that helps determine the distribution of fat by measuring the size of the waist and buttocks.

Calculated as follows: The volume of the buttocks should be divided by the volume of the waist.

Norm:

  • for men – 0.80;
  • for women – 0.60-0.80.

In order to determine your body type, you need to measure the circumference of your wrist. right hand, but if the left hand is the working one, then it needs to be measured. In the normostatic type it is equal to 17-18.5 cm, in the broad-boned type – more than 18.5 and in the thin-boned type – less than 17 cm.

Weight by height and age

Of course, by body weight strong influence age renders. It has been scientifically proven that over the years, body weight in men and women gradually increases with age. Moreover, this may not be extra pounds, but a natural physical process. But height affects people’s weight just as much.

Each person has his own body type. There are 3 of them: thin-boned, normal-boned and broad-boned. Each body type has its own characteristics.

Traits that distinguish one type from another:

This table shows the weight for men that is considered normal, taking into account his body type and height:

Thin-boned build Normal bone build Broad-boned build
155 cm - 49 kg 155 cm - 56 kg 155 cm - 62 kg
160 cm - 53.5 kg 160 cm - 60 kg 160 cm - 66 kg
165 cm - 57 kg 165 cm - 63.5 kg 165 cm - 69.5 kg
170 cm - 60.5 kg 170 cm - 68 kg 170 cm - 74 kg
175 cm - 65 kg 175 cm - 72 kg 175 cm - 78 kg
180 cm – 69 kg 180 cm - 75 kg 180 cm - 81 kg
185 cm - 73.5 kg 185 cm - 79 kg 185 cm - 85 kg

It should be taken into account that with thin-boned addition they sometimes subtract 3-5% from the weight indicated in the table. With big bones - 1-1,5%.

Using this table you can track the average weight for a woman taking into account her height:

It is known that in old age the physical activity and, metabolism in the body decreases. But some habits of older people proper nutrition and active lifestyle remain unchanged even after many years. Therefore, despite the decrease in muscle tissue, many people do not stop gaining weight over the years.

Summarizing the above formulas for calculating weight and tables that indicate weight standards for men and women, we can conclude that a person’s weight is directly related to many other criteria.

These criteria are:

  • person's age;
  • height;
  • body type.

Heredity is also an important factor. If a person is genetically predisposed to be overweight, then getting rid of extra pounds will be much more difficult.

In conclusion, I would like to say that knowing whether your weight corresponds to normal body weight helps to eliminate a lot of problems, and sometimes identify the presence of a disease.

Controlling your weight is the prevention of many serious diseases. Hypertension and diabetes mellitus are usually accompanied by obesity. At the same time, cancer and diseases of the digestive tract can lead to sudden weight loss.

In order to maintain normal body weight you need to:

  • proper and healthy nutrition;
  • You need to eat breakfast every day, as this helps to avoid snacking at a later time;
  • conducting active image life;
  • regularly weighing your body weight;
  • consultations with a specialist if you are overweight or, on the contrary, underweight;
  • To maintain a normal weight, a man needs 2,500 calories a day, and a woman needs 2,000.

Watch your weight and nutrition, be healthy!

This page of the site offers tables of normal weight in relation to a person’s height, also taking into account body type.

There are three types:

1) hypersthenic- a person with short arms, legs, neck and broad shoulders.

2) normosthenic- an ordinary person with an average metabolic rate.

3) asthenic- a person with a high metabolism, narrow shoulders, long legs and arms.

How to determine your body type?

Big and index fingers With one hand, clasp your wrist with the other where the bone protrudes. If you fail to grasp it, you are a hypersthenic; if it happened with great difficulty, you are a normosthenic; if it happens easily, you are an asthenic.

In addition to the "weight table", there is calculation method height-weight ratio (provided that your height is more than 170 cm).

To do this, subtract 110 from your height (in centimeters). The resulting value is your proper weight in kilograms. To be more precise, for asthenics you need to subtract 115, for normosthenics - 110, for hypersthenics - 100.

Does age affect height-weight ratio?

The answer is clear. Yes, of course it does. It has been proven that the weight of men and women should gradually increase with age - this is a normal physiological process. The kilograms that some people consider “extra” may not actually be so.

You can use a formula based on age to determine your optimal weight.

Body weight = 50 + 0.75 (P - 150) + (B - 20) : 4

R- height
IN- age in years.

Ideal weight - what is it? This question is asked by almost every person at different stages of their life. Women are more likely to face the problem of excess weight than men, but this does not make it lose its relevance for the stronger sex. Excess body weight affects not only appearance, but also health, because this is a huge daily burden on internal organs and vessels. The shortage also has Negative influence on the vital functions of the body, so it is better to find your “golden mean”. So what should be your ideal weight to look and feel good?

What does ideal weight depend on?

It is important to understand that the same ideal weight does not exist for everyone. For one person, 60 kg will be comfortable, and for another, 80 kg, even if they have the same height, age, etc. If a person feels well, does not suffer from chronic diseases, he is not bothered by insomnia, shortness of breath, and others signs of discomfort, which means his weight can be considered ideal, but only for him.

Optimal weight table

Health and well-being are not the only criteria for determining ideal weight. Modern nutritionists, working together with doctors, have developed several calculation methods with which you can find out that “golden mean” for both men and women.

Body weight is always influenced by the following factors:

  • Body type.
  • Height.
  • Age.
  • Heredity.
  • Gender.

Ideal weight is calculated using special tables and formulas. Such methods are not convenient for everyone; in this case, it is recommended to use a special calculator that allows you to determine the desired weight for men and women. In this case, the calculation is carried out automatically. There are several ways for you to choose from.

Lorentz method

This formula is simple. To determine your ideal weight, you only need to know your height, let’s denote it as L. After measuring, proceed to calculations, for which the formula is used:

X = (L – 100) – 0.25 × (L – 150)

For example, the ideal weight for a girl whose height is 164 cm will be equal to:

(164 – 100) – 0.25 × (164 – 150) = 60.5 kg.

Please note that this formula does not take into account the age and gender of a person, so it cannot be called universal. The calculation is recommended for use by girls under 25–30 years of age.

Sometimes achieving your ideal weight can be very difficult.

Catlet method

This formula is also known as the “Catlet index”. The calculation allows us to obtain a value for which there are certain boundaries.

  • A value from 18 to 25 is normal.
  • A value less than 18 is a deficiency.
  • A value over 25 is overweight.

Katle index = Weight, kg: (Height, m)²

That is, if a person weighs 82 kg and his height is 1.67 m, we get the following result:

82: (1.67)² = 29.3

Obviously, the body weight in this case is excessive.

Broca's formula

A French anthropologist offers a more simplified calculation that many people know:

X = L, cm – 100

Of course, this formula is not universal, since it does not take into account age, gender, etc. But over time, some changes were made to Paul Broca’s calculation:

If the height is 165 cm and below, then the formula is used (Height, cm) – 105

If height is 166 – 175 cm, then the formula is used (Height, cm) – 100

If the height is above 175 cm, then the formula is used (Height, cm) – 110.

Calculation of ideal weight for girls and women

It is logical to calculate the ideal weight for a girl taking into account the volume of her breasts. To calculate the required body weight, you also need to know your height. Next, the ideal body weight can be calculated as follows:

Height, cm × Bust volume, cm: 240

If a girl’s height is 165 cm and her chest volume is 85 cm, then her ideal weight is:

165 × 85: 240 = 58.4 kg.

Nagler's formula

This method is used to determine ideal body weight for both men and women. To calculate the required indicator, you only need to know your height (L), and then substitute it into the formula:

X = 45.3+(L-152.4) × 0.93 (formula for women)

X = 48+(L-152.4) × 1.4 (formula for men)

If a woman is 166 cm tall, then her body weight should ideally be:

45.3 + (166-152.4) × 0.93 = 58kg

For a man 175 cm tall, the calculation will be as follows:

48 + (175-152.4) × 1.4 = 79.7 kg

Weight calculation based on age

This formula takes into account height, age, and gender. Despite the complexity of the calculations, the method takes into account all the most necessary parameters.

X (female) = 0.9 × (50 + 0.5 × (Height, cm – 150)) + 0.5 × (age – 20)

If you are 35 years old and 165 cm tall, then your ideal body weight will be 59,300 kg.

X (male) = 1 × (50 + 0.5 × (Height, cm – 150)) + 0.5 × (age – 20)

If a man is 35 years old and 177 cm tall, his ideal body weight will be 71 kg.

Weight calculator

The calculator is convenient for anyone who wants to know their ideal weight, but for some reason cannot calculate it. Many people, due to their busy lives, cannot find the time to take all the necessary measurements and find out how much they should weigh. The weight calculator works on the basis of special algorithms that include the most complex formulas, but at the same time provide the most accurate results.

Calculating your weight taking into account all the parameters is not difficult. It doesn’t matter whether you chose a calculator or one of the formulas, the result obtained should not be regarded as the only correct one. All of the above methods are just recommendations based on generally accepted standards. The numbers in the formulas are selected taking into account average data, so even an automatic calculator cannot guarantee that the result will be 100% reliable and you definitely need to weigh exactly that much.

When making calculations, it is necessary to take into account age, since metabolic processes slow down over the years. Character labor activity It also matters, as does the type of temperament. Each of us has different bone mass, and none of the formulas take into account body type.

There are special norms and indices for the ratio of fat and muscle mass of the body, water content in the body, etc. Most often, special scales with an analyzer are used to determine them. If a person exercises, they may weigh heavier due to the predominance of muscle mass in the body. Sometimes excess weight appears due to insufficient kidney function, resulting in fluid retention in the body.

Normal human weight– this is a concept that cannot be precise. Its criteria include not only weight and height, but also a person’s physique and even age. Many men and women experience problems with being overweight or underweight. In this article I would like to tell you how to calculate your weight and what, in general, is the norm.

Calculation of weight by height and age

There are many ways to help calculate weight by height and age. But it should be remembered that such schemes may not be entirely perfect, since the weight ratio can be affected by other factors that are often not taken into account.

Method 1

Since ancient times, many people have trusted Broca's method.

A person's height is taken in centimeters, then 100 is subtracted from this.

But after some time, the performance of this method changed slightly. This formula is best used to calculate weight by height for females between the ages of 40 and 50. How does it change

Women under 30 years of age need to have a body weight that is 10% less than this result.

Method 2

To calculate weight based on height and age, it is considered more accurate Quetelet's method. This formula calculates the ratio of fat and bone and muscle tissue as a percentage. It allows you to determine whether a person is overweight or underweight. Usually we use this method of calculation for people from 20 to 60 years old.

For men, 10-15% fat of total body weight is considered normal, for women only 12%.

How is it calculated: body weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared.

Should not be used This calculation method is for pregnant women, women during lactation, adolescents and people involved in sports.

Method 3

There is a formula that helps determine the distribution of fat by measuring the size of the waist and buttocks.

Calculated as follows: The volume of the buttocks should be divided by the volume of the waist.

Norm:

  • for men – 0.80;
  • for women – 0.60-0.80.

Method 4

In order to determine your body type, you need to measure the circumference of the wrist of your right hand, but if your left hand is your working hand, then you need to measure it. In the normostatic type it is equal to 17-18.5 cm, in the broad-boned type – more than 18.5 and in the thin-boned type – less than 17 cm.

Weight by height and age

Of course, age has a strong influence on body weight. It has been scientifically proven that over the years, body weight in men and women gradually increases with age. Moreover, this may not be extra pounds, but a natural physical process. But height affects people’s weight just as much.

Weight, height, age - table for men

178 82,8 80,9
180 84,4 81,6

It is known that in old age physical activity decreases significantly and metabolism in the body decreases. But some habits of older people regarding proper nutrition and an active lifestyle remain unchanged even after many years. Therefore, despite the decrease in muscle tissue, many people do not stop gaining weight over the years.

Bottom line

Summarizing the above formulas for calculating weight and tables that indicate weight standards for men and women, we can conclude that a person’s weight is directly related to many other criteria.

These criteria are:

  • person's age;
  • height;

  • proper and healthy nutrition;
  • You need to eat breakfast every day, as this helps to avoid snacking at a later time;
  • maintaining an active lifestyle;
  • regularly weighing your body weight;
  • consultations with a specialist if you are overweight or, on the contrary, underweight;
  • To maintain a normal weight, a man needs 2,500 calories a day, and a woman needs 2,000.

Watch your weight and nutrition, be healthy!
