If initially the number of loops was large, then before closing, reduce the number of loops again (edge, * purl, 3 loops (knit, purl, knit) together with knit * repeat until the end of the row), and then pull the remaining loops with a working thread.

Sew a hat (it’s probably more convenient to knit it right away on circular knitting needles, but I didn’t have the right size on hand).

Ears

On knitting needles with thick yarn, at a distance of 7 cm from the back seam, cast on loops 9 cm wide (I have 14 loops). Knit in garter stitch (so that the ears do not curl into a tube). From the second row, decrease on both sides in each row.

Knit an eyelet to a height of 4.5-5 cm. Cast off the remaining 6 loops.
