Dimensions:
Circumference – 51 (56, 61) cm.
Necessary materials:
Yarn Studio Donegal Soft Donegal (100% wool; 190 m / 100 grams per skein) – 2 skeins. 
Required tools:
Circular knitting needles No. 3.75 and No. 4, length 40 cm,
set of double-edged knitting needles No. 4,
stitch markers,
additional knitting needle,
tapestry needle.
Knitting density:
34 stitches and 38 rows = 10 cm of cable pattern, made with size 4 needles.
Comment:
The hat is knitted in circular rows from bottom to top.
Technique used:
Add 2 loops from the broach:
use the end of the left knitting needle to lift the thread between the loops (insert the knitting needle from front to back); knit the raised loop and leave it on the left knitting needle, knit the same loop behind the back wall and remove both loops from the knitting needle - 2 loops are added.
Start of knitting:
Using 3.75 needles, cast on 120 (132, 144) stitches.
Place a marker and join the stitches in a circular row.
Next round:
1 knit stitch, *2 purl loops, 2 knit stitches; repeat from * to last 3 stitches, purl 2, knit 1.
Tie 9 cm with an elastic band.
Change knitting needles to number 4.
1st installation row:
– 10 (11, 12) times – 140 (154, 168) loops on knitting needles.
2nd installation row:
– 10 (11, 12) times – 160 (176, 192) loops on the knitting needles.
Next round:
1 knit stitch, *2 purl loops, 2 knit stitches; repeat from * to last 3 stitches, purl 2, knit 1.
Knit 3 (4, 5) times rows 1-12 of the pattern repeat with strands according to the diagram. 
Knit rows 1-13 of pattern repeat once for the top part. If necessary, switch to knitting with double-pointed knitting needles. There are 40 (44, 48) stitches left on the needles.
Circular series of decreases:
remove the marker, 1 knit stitch, place a marker for the new beginning of the row, - 10 (11, 12) times - 20 (22, 24) loops remain on the needles.
Circular series of decreases:

Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining loops. Pull tightly, fasten and thread the thread to the wrong side.
A men's knitted hat should be well steamed. 
A warm hat for the winter is a great gift for a man. Moreover, the hat will be knitted from natural wool yarn using Aranian patterns. The braid is known to be a veiled wish for good luck, and the net symbolizes wealth.
The authors of the model, designers from the Drops studio, recommend taking 2 skeins of Drops Lima (50 g/100 m) for the hat. This yarn is all wool, made from 65% sheep wool and 35% alpaca wool, and has a medium gauge yarn.
Two skeins are enough to create a medium standard size hat, 57-59 cm head circumference.
When knitting, we will use two types of double needles: with a diameter of 4 mm and 3.5 mm.
We knit the sample using stockinette stitch from 21 original stitches (pt). Having completed 28 rows, we get 10x10 cm.

We will knit the hat in circular rows (k/r), guided by patterns A.1 and A.2.
Take a set of 3.5 mm double needles and cast on 131 pt. We distribute them along the knitting needles in a circle.
We begin to knit with the “3x2 Elastic” pattern:
2 lcpt (knit stitches); *3 izpt (purl pt); 2 lcpt *; repeat *-* by k/r 16 times; 44 pt according to figure A.1.

1st k/r: knit 2 sts together in every second section with purl sts = 95 sts.

Description of knitted hats for men
On 3.5 mm knitting needles, cast on 131 stitches, knit in a circle with an elastic band: 2 knit stitches, *3 purl stitches, 2 knit stitches, repeat from * in the round 16 times, 44 stitches according to pattern A.1 . This spring my husband puzzled me with the search for a new hat. First, we had to determine what the ideal men's knitted hat is?
- Firstly, the hat must be knitted from natural materials(wool, cashmere) with the addition of acrylic or polyester. Additives should be 30 percent, maximum 50. The wool should be soft, not prickly. If suddenly a man sensitive skin, then it is better to choose cashmere instead of wool.
- Secondly, the hat should be with a lapel for winter and straight, without a lapel for spring/autumn. This could be a stocking cap or a beanie hat.
- Thirdly, the hat must match the color outerwear. Nowadays it is not fashionable to wear black and gray dull hats, bright colors especially for the sporty style that is on trend.
What can stores offer us? Men's hats, knitted or knitted by machine, are preferably sold from synthetic fabrics. Synthetics are of course cheaper than wool and cashmere, so you can make a hat for 100-200 rubles. and sell it for 1000 or more. Seriously, stores are not modest, and if you estimate the cost of yarn and labor, the markups on small accessories, in the form of hats and scarves, are simply depressing. In addition, it is very difficult to find a hat of the required depth and color, taking into account the above requirements.
I can knit a hat with knitting needles, it occurred to me after I calculated the cost of the threads. How much yarn do you need for a hat? 100-150 grams. A skein of good wool costs 200-300 rubles, and cashmere yarn can be bought for up to 500. The first thing I did was come home and start looking through the models knitted men's hats.
